
Device description
The basic principle of the PROFILTER-PROJEKT screen is the same as in traditional rotary screens. Wastewater is fed into the screen by a pump or by gravity. The screenings are retained on the mesh and cleaning baskets, and the separated liquid flows by gravity down the bottom of the housing into the tank. The retained screenings are flushed out using high-pressure water. The rinsed debris enters the trough of the perforated spiral conveyor, and from there it goes outside the device to the container. The main advantage of the design solution of the PROFILTER-PROJEKT sieve is the elimination of articulated frame sections of the cleaning mesh. Our company’s compact rotary sieve consists of a steel casing inside of which is installed a filter unit built of toothed belts and a mesh stretched between them, forming the so-called “endless belt”. The spacing between the belts is determined by horizontal beams on the outside of the mesh. The filter unit built in this way is suspended by the support belts from the gears of the drive unit. The proposed design finally solved the problem of abrasive wear of cooperating parts moving relative to each other accelerated by the presence of sand and other hard particles in the water. As a result, PROFILTER-PROJEKT screens exhibit excellent durability, many times that of conventional frame screens, and extremely low operating costs. Thanks to original design solutions and materials used with enhanced mechanical properties, PROFILTER-PROJEKT screens can be used in chemically aggressive environments without negative effects on durability and without increasing production and operating costs. PROFILTER-PROJEKT screens are suitable for installation on new facilities and for modernization of existing treatment systems by replacing old screens with new generation screens – from PROFILTER-PROJEKT.
