Device description

PROFILTER-PROJEKT’s mechanical grids are always effective and original equipment solutions for pretreatment of water or wastewater tailored to the Customer’s conditions. The task of mechanical grids is to remove solids of more than 2 mm in size from wastewater. These are mainly impurities that do not decompose biologically – such as stones, rags, cans, etc. The wastewater flows through a device that retains screenings on the bars, the basket, the belt with hooks, the laminae or other elements depending on the design of the grating. The screenings are removed from the grids manually or mechanically. Their retention is intended to guarantee trouble-free operation of further technological elements of the treatment plant.

A wide range of innovative technological solutions applied in PROFILTER-PROJEKT’s mechanical screens eliminate maintenance activities to a minimum and minimize repair and overhaul costs through extremely high structural reliability and durability of the materials used, selected based on FEM calculations.
