Device description

The auger press is designed for mechanical pressing of debris retained on grids and sieves with the possibility of pre-washing organic parts from them. Screenings separated on grids or sieves are fed directly into the hopper. The basic part of the device is a screw shaft, which rotates moving the screenings towards the pressdewatering block, where the final dewatering and pressing takes place. The leachate generated in the process of pressing screenings is removed from the unit through a leach port. The unit is equipped with an integrated rinsing system, allowing high efficiency in reducing organic contaminants in screenings. Rinsing of screenings is carried out in the feed section and in the straining section on a slotted sieve. The screenings, which are free of organic suspended solids, dewatered and compressed, are directed to the dumping section.
