PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

The flowing wastewater is fed to the straining element, which, depending on the type of device used, is a perforated or slotted plate. The selection of the clearance in the range of 2 to 8 mm ensures effective separation of screenings depending on the technological need. The screenings retained on the perforated screen are scraped off with cleaning brushes integrated with the screw feeder. Then the contaminants are transported towards the top of the unit, where they are rinsed (rinsing depending on the technology) and dewatered in the pressing and dewatering segment. Discharge of screenings from the screen is realized through the final outlet.
